reCaptcha Settings:

Google Site Key / Secret Key

To generate your Google reCAPTCHA Site Key / Secret Key for the reCaptcha add-on please follow this tutorial.

Each specific implementation of reCAPTCHA: V2 or V3 requires its own unique set of keys. Ensure that you generate the appropriate keys corresponding to the version of reCAPTCHA you plan to use.>

reCaptcha V3

The reCAPTCHA v3 is also a type of invisible CAPTCHA designed to be more user-friendly by eliminating the need for user interaction. Unlike reCAPTCHA v2, which requires visible challenges like the “I’m not a robot” checkbox or image selection, reCAPTCHA v3 works entirely in the background. It analyzes user behavior patterns to determine whether a request is likely from a human or a bot. This approach enhances security against bots and spam without disrupting the user experience, providing seamless protection for your site.

Using reCaptcha

After we generate our Google Site / Secret Key we need to add them inside the Site Key / Secret Key options, in Paid Member Subscriptions -> Settings -> Misc -> reCaptcha, to use the reCAPTCHA widget.

Also, we need to select where we want the reCaptcha widget to be displayed by checking the appropriate checkbox.

reCaptcha Errors

reCaptcha widget is not displayed in form

If you inserted the Site / Secret Key correctly and also selected the forms where to display the reCaptcha widget, but still it doesn’t work you will need to deactivate all other plugins and to use a Default WordPress Theme to debug this issue.

You will need to make sure that you are not using another reCAPTCHA plugin that uses the Google reCAPTCHA Site / Secret Key. Also check the Browser Console (Chrome – F12) to see if you have any errors.
